MBC

MBC is a functional martial system with an emphasis on close combat, versatile defense against edged weapons, knife versus knife situations as well as unarmed combat.

The exercises are based on real-life encounters and combine the best aspects of Filipino, Chinese and Japanese martial arts, as well as modern close combat and self-defense systems.

The purpose of the exercises is to develop coordination, motor skills and muscle memory, and to make efficient body usage second nature.

The basis of training is subdueing the attacker and resolving conflict situations as quickly as possible, so that they do not escalate - and on the other hand, managing already escalated situations and protecting oneself.

Martial Blade Concepts

Violent situations are practiced in a safe and controlled manner through various exercises and techniques.

In the middle of the MBC abbreviation is B, i.e. blade, which reveals that the focus is on defence against edged weapons. Part of the training is also acting in the role of an attacker and simulating realistic situations, where it is possible to train your own reactions and increase stress tolerance.

In Finland, it is illegal to carry a bladed weapon, but despite that, they are often involved in violent situations here as well.

Protective equipment and training knives without a blade are used. Due to violent situations, the sport has an age limit of 18 years.

Who is MBC suitable for?

MBC is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in self-protection.

Starting training does not require previous experience in martial arts or exercise, and no special equipment is needed - everything can be found ready in the gym.

The atmosphere in training is relaxed and encouraging, even though sometimes we train intensively.
